Support the rear frame with Tooling (C). Attach a suitable forklift to the loader frame. Use the suitable forklift to move the loader frame until the loader frame and the rear frame can be connected. Reinstall Tooling (D). Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)"for more information on Tooling (C).

Lower the temperature of pin (20). Install plate (17) to pin (20). Attach a suitable lifting device to pin (20). The weight of pin (20) is approximately 152 kg (335 lb). Install two bolts (16) in upper plate (17) to align plate (17). Install pin (20).
Install lower plate (17) and four evenly spaced bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 800 100 N m (590 74 lb ft). Measure the distance through Hole (X) in lower plate (17). Remove lower plate (17). Measure the thickness of lower plate (17) and subtract the measurement from the distance in Hole (X). Install the shims from the measurement. Install lower plate (17). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 1000 125 N m (738 92 lb ft).
Use Tooling (L) to measure the gap between upper plate (17) and the frame at two locations. Average the measurements and subtract the thickness of the upper plate (17). Remove upper plate (17). Measure the thickness of the upper plate (17). Use the measurement to determine the needed shims. Install the shims. Install upper plate (17). Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 1000 125 N m (738 92 lb ft).

Lower the temperature of pin (19). Attach a suitable lifting device to pin (19). The weight of pin (19) is approximately 90 kg (200 lb). Install pin (19). Install bolt (18).

Install hose assemblies (10) and (13). Install brackets (12) and (11).

Use Tooling (A) to remove pin assembly (9) from the rod end of the steering cylinder.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to the steering cylinder , as shown. The weight of the steering cylinder is approximately 331 kg (730 lb).

Connect grease hose assembly (7) and install tube assembly (8) from the rod end of the steering cylinder that is being removed. Install plate (6).
