Therefore, the warnings in this publication, the warnings that are on the product, and the warnings that are in the OMM are not all inclusive. If a tool, a procedure, a work method, or operating technique that is not recommended by Caterpillar is used, the user must ensure that it is safe for the user and for other people to use.
The user should ensure that the product will not be damaged or the product will be made unsafe by the operation, lubrication, maintenance, or the repair procedures that are used.
: The generator set must be isolated electrically before and while the rework is performed. Follow the proper lockout tag out procedures to protect against the unexpected energizing or startup of the genset. Failure to follow these warnings could result in injury to personnel during service. Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag to the machine start switch or the controls before you perform any service to the machine.
1)Cut 342cm of 142-6868 Seal and install to plate edges.

2)Cut 66cm of 7W-9991 Seal and install to plate edges.

3)Remove 5 shroud bolts from left and right side of radiator.

4)Fit all plates to radiator. (A) 369-7726, (B) 437-8226, (C) 437-8227, (D) 437-8223. Do not tighten until all plates are in place.

5)Tighten the top six radiator plate bolts to 30nm +/- 7.

6)Tighten the five bolts securing the side radiator plates to 30nm +/-7.

7)Tighten the bolts securing bottom radiator plate to 55nm +/-10.

8)Tighten the side and panel assemblies to 12nm +/-3.
