Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the belt from the pump (ARD air). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt (ARD Air Pump) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

Loosen the hose clamp on hose assembly (6). Remove the hose assembly from pump (ARD air) (5).
Loosen the hose clamp on hose assembly (7). Remove the hose assembly from pump (ARD air) (5).
Disconnect harness assembly (2) from harness assembly (1). Remove the harness assembly from clips (3).
Remove bolt (8) (not shown) and the washer from pump (ARD air) (5).
Remove bolt (4) from pump (ARD air) (5). Support the pump (ARD air) as the bolt is removed.
Remove pump (ARD air) (5) from bracket (9).

If necessary, follow Step 2.b through Step 2.c in order to remove bracket (9) from the engine.
Remove bolts (10) from bracket (9).
Remove bracket (9) from housing (11).

If necessary, follow Step 8.a through Step 8.e in order to remove connection (13) and connection (17) from pump (ARD air) (5).
Make temporary marks on connection (13) to show correct orientation.
Remove allen head bolts (12) from connection (13).
Remove connection (13) from pump (ARD air) (5).
Remove O-ring seal (14) (not shown).
If necessary, repeat Step 8.a through Step 8.d in order to remove the remaining connection (17), allen head bolts (16), and O-ring seal (15) (not shown) from pump (ARD air) (5). Installation Procedure
Ensure that all components are clean and free from damage. Replace any components that are worn or damaged.

If necessary, follow Step 2.a through Step 2.c in order to install bracket (9) from the engine.
Position bracket (9) onto housing (11).
Install bolts (10) to bracket (9).
Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).

If necessary, follow Step 3.a through Step 3.e in order to install connection (13) and connection (17) to pump (ARD air) (5).
Position a new O-ring seal (14) (not shown) onto connection (13).
Position connection (13) onto pump (ARD air) (5). Ensure the correct orientation of the connection.
Install allen head bolts (12) to connection (13) finger tight.
Tighten allen head bolts (12) to a torque of 3 N m (27 lb in).
If necessary, repeat Step 3.a through Step 3.d in order to install the remaining connection (17), allen head bolts (13), and a new O-ring seal (15) (not shown) to pump (ARD air) (5).

Position pump (ARD air) (5) onto bracket (9).
loosely install bolt (4) to pump (ARD air) (5). Support the pump (ARD air) as the bolt is installed.
loosely install bolt (8) (not shown) and the washer to pump (ARD air) (5).
Install hose assembly (7) to pump (ARD air) (5). Securely tighten the hose clamp on hose assembly (7).
Install hose assembly (6) to pump (ARD air) (5). Securely tighten the hose clamp on hose assembly (6).
Connect harness assembly (2) to harness assembly (1). Install the harness assembly to clips (3). End By:
Install the belt from the pump (ARD air). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt (ARD Air Pump) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
