Inspect the muffler support bracket (1) for any cracks in locations marked (A) as shown in drawing 1.
If there are any cracks present on the muffler support bracket, replace the bracket (1).
Remove the existing exhaust pipe (B).
Install the three studs (2) into the exhaust manifold.
Connect the clamp and hardware (3) onto the muffler. Do not tighten the clamp.
Insert the tube (4) into the muffler.
Place the gasket (5) onto the studs installed in step 4.
Install the elbow (6) and secure it to the engine using hardware (6). Do not tighten the hardware.
Insert the gasket (8) between the elbow (6) and the tube (4).
Use hardware (9) in order to connect the tube to the elbow.
If the elbow (6) and the tube (4) do not line up properly, loosen the muffler mounting hardware (C) in order to align them properly.
Tighten the hardware (3), (7) and (9).
