Remove swashplate (24) from the housing.

Use Tooling (A) to remove barrel assembly (25) from housing (2).

Remove pistons (26) and slipper guide (27) from barrel (28).

Remove retainer guide (29) from the barrel.

Remove pin retainer (30) and three pins (31) from the barrel.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Note: There is spring force against washer (32). The spring force will be released when retaining ring (34) is removed. Prevent personal injury. Use a press for removal of the internal components in barrel (28) in order to retain spring (33) and washer (32).
Put barrel (28) in a press. Install a suitable piece of square steel stock against washer (32). Slightly compress washer (32) with the press. Remove retaining ring (34) and slowly release the spring compression.
Washers (32) and (35) are different in size. Put identification marks on the washers for installation purposes. Remove washer (32), spring (33), and washer (35) from the barrel.

Mark valve plate (36) for the location of the plate relative to housing (2) and locating pin (38). Remove valve plate (36) from the housing. Remove locating pin (38), if necessary.
Remove dowels (37) and gasket (39) from housing (2). Remove any of the gasket material from the front cover.

Remove needle bearing (40) from the housing.

Put identification marks on servo pistons (41) and (42) for installation purposes. Remove the servo pistons from housing (2).

Remove hollow piston (44) from each of the servo pistons. Remove slipper (43) from each of the hollow pistons.
Remove seal rings (45) from each of the servo pistons.

Remove charge relief plug (46) from housing (2). Remove the O-ring seal from the charge relief plug.

Remove plugs (47) and valve spool (48) from housing (2). Remove the O-ring seals from plugs (47).
