To create a new depth element:

From any guidance screen, press and hold "Depth".The "Depth Memories" dialog appears.Note: You can also access the "Depth Memories" dialog from the "Vertical Setup" dialog.
Press the down arrow key until the higlight bar moves past the last item in the current list.A new depth element is created, with a depth of zero.
Use any of the following tools to set the depth.
Edit the "Depth" field directly.
Press "+0.015" or "-0.015" to add or subtract 0.015 m (0.0492 ft) to or from the current depth.Note: The actual soft key labels that are displayed depend on the increment/decrement values that have been set and the units selected for distance. For more information on setting the increment/decrement values, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8501, "Setting Up For Operation".
To confirm the settings, press the "OK" key. To exit without saving the changes, press the Escape key.Slope Memory
To create a new slope element:

Press the down arrow key in order to scroll to the depth that you desire.
Press the "Set 0.00" key.
Press the "OK" key in order to accept the depth.Slope Memory
In order to set a "Target Depth" value to zero, perform the following procedure.

Press the down arrow key in order to scroll to the Slope that you desire.
Press "Set Level" to set the slope to zero
Press the "OK" key in order to accept the slope.Reference a Laser
On start-up, and until a laser strike is accepted, the "Laser Ready" icon is displayed.In order to reference a laser, complete the following steps.
Ensure that the system has been benched.
Position the machine so that the laser catcher is in the beam of the laser transmitter.
