new liner seat insert is available for the No. 1 and No. 4 cylinders for D353 Engines. The new 6V2111 Liner Seat Insert is the same as the existing 5P8607 Liner Seat Insert, except it has only one notch instead of two for the water ferrule holes. On the No. 1 and No. 4 cylinders of these blocks, the second notch is not necessary, and is a possible source of water leakage. Use of the new 6V2111 Liner Seat Insert for these two cylinders will prevent this possible leakage. The 5P8607 Liner Seat Insert is still available, and is to be used for the other cylinders. The installation procedure is the same for both liner seat inserts.
