Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.Note: Use Illustration 1 as a reference for all of the photographic illustrations in the removal and the installation procedure.

Remove bolt (1), and move the harness assembly aside.
Remove bolt (2), and move the harness assembly aside.
Remove nut (3). Disconnect battery cable and wiring harness (4) .
Remove nut (5), and remove cover (6) .

Remove bolt (7), and disconnect wire (8) .

Remove bolts (9) that secure the electric starting motor to the flywheel housing. Remove electric starting motor (10). Installation Procedure

Position electric starting motor (10) in the flywheel housing. Install bolts (9) .

Connect wire (8), and install bolt (7) .

Position cover (6), and install nut (5) .
Connect battery cable and wiring harness (4), and install nut (3) .
Position the harness assembly, and install bolt (2) .
Position the harness assembly, and install bolt (1) .
