The left engine side plate is shown. 1. Remove step (1) from the engine side plate. 2. Remove auxiliary starting receptacle (2) from plate (3). Disconnect ground wire from the plate (left engine plate removed only).3. Remove plate (3). 4. Remove the retainer (not shown) from engine side plate (4). Install tooling (A) and a hoist on the engine side plate. Remove the bolts. Remove the engine side plate. Weight is 220 lb. (99 kg).Install Engine Side Plates
The left engine side plate is shown. 1. Use a hoist and tooling (A) to install engine side plate (1). 2. Install plate (2).3. Install auxiliary starting receptacle (3) on the plate. Connect the ground wire to the plate (left engine side plate installation only). 4. Install step (4) on the engine side plate.
