Check for wear on the mating surface of the Sealing Ring on the generator shaft.Note: Any wear against the serial number, document the wear with a photo and upload to SIMs.
Inspect the shaft for any burrs, raised metal, fretting, or corrosion that may interfere with installation of the new Sealing Ring.Note: If cleanup is required, protect the bearing, V-Ring seal, and grease from contamination.

Lightly brush a film of new clean 2S-3230 Bearing Lubricant on the lip of the V-Ring Seal.
Heat the new 439-2848 Sealing Ring to 110° C (230° F) using an oven or induction heater. Place the temperature sensing device as close to the bore as possible. Note: Do not excessively overheat the Sealing Ring to avoid damaging the V-Ring Seal. While the Sealing Ring is being heated, prepare a brush with new clean Loctite Moly Paste.

Quickly brush the 2S-3230 Bearing Lubricant grease on the inboard face of the heated Sealing Ring that will contact the V-Ring seal. Install the Sealing Ring on the shaft against the bearing. Keep pressure on the Sealing Ring to ensure that the sealing ring stays seated against the bearing as the sealing ring cools. Allow the Sealing Ring to cool down and stick to the shaft before releasing the pressure.Note: The new sealing ring is not an interference fit. Heating the sealing ring will ease assembly.

Use a straight edge to check that the Sealing Ring is located inside of the bearing retainer. With the straight edge held up against the bearing retainer, the straight edge should not contact the Sealing Ring. If there is not a gap between the straight-edge and the Sealing Ring, temporarily install the yoke to seat the Sealing Ring against the bearing, remove the yoke, and recheck.
Wipe off the face of the Sealing Ring, and thoroughly clean the splines of the generator shaft and yoke with a wire brush. Apply Loctite Moly Paste on the face of the Sealing Ring, the generator yoke and shaft splines, to help reduce fretting and corrosion. Ensure that shaft splines are covered with Loctite Moly Paste.

Install 255-0777 Yoke As on the generator shaft and seat the yoke against the Sealing Ring. Check that the face of the shaft is below the mating surface on the yoke for the plate.

Install 143-6120 Plate with the face marked "Inside" against the yoke.
Install 8T-6381 Bolt using Loctite red on the threads, and tighten the bolt to 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).Note: Proper bolt torque is critical to maintaining yoke retention. Ensure that adequate counter torque is applied to the generator shaft while tightening the bolt.
Apply a torque witness mark across the bolt head and plate.
Check that the yoke cannot move axially on the shaft. Check that the
