The front axle group is directly mounted to the machine front frame with a standard differential. The rear axle housing is an oscillating housing with a NoSPIN differential. While the front and rear axle housings and differentials are slightly different, the brake and final drive components and operation are identical.Power from the output transfer gear group is transferred to the front and rear axle groups by the drive shafts. The power enters the axle groups through bevel pinion (1). Bevel pinion (1) turns bevel gear (2) which is fastened to differential case (10) .Power is transferred through the differential by pinion gears (11), side gears (12) and axle shafts (5) to the final drives. The main components of the final drives are planetary carrier (8), planetary gears (7), ring gear (6) and sun gear (9) .The axle groups contain the service and parking brake groups. Brake discs (13) are splined to axle shaft (5) and rotate at side gear (12) speed. Service brake piston (3) or parking brake piston (4) clamp brake discs (13) to the brake reaction plates to either slow or stop the machine.
