Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all harness assemblies, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove bolts (X) and (Y) and discard.

Position plate (1) as shown and secure with bolts (15) and washers (7) .
Position unions (8) with seals (10) through plate (1) and secure each union (8) with nut (9) .
Attach hose assemblies (14) to each union (8) and route toward the medium pressure valve assembly on the machine. Connect hose assemblies (13) (not shown) to the stick side of unions (8) and route up each side of the boom.

Install plate (5) as shown using bolts (11). Position clip (2) around hose assembly (13). Secure clip (2) to plate (5) using bolt (3) and washer (4) .

Repeat steps 9 and 10 for the next two mounting positions on the boom and for the opposite side.

Tighten all hardware to standard torque. Refer to Specifications, SENR3130, "Torque Specifications".
Inspect the fittings for hydraulic leaks.
