Information:

1. Remove eight bolts (18), and remove coupling (17) from housing (2).2. If necessary, remove plug (13) from coupling (17).3. Remove four springs (4) from the dowels.4. Remove four springs (21), two discs (19), plate (5), four springs (20) and eight dowels (3).5. Remove snap ring (14) and hub (12) from the shaft.6. Remove piston (1) from housing (2).7. Remove spiral lockring (15), and remove housing (2) from manifold assembly (7).8. Remove O-ring seal and seal ring (23) and seal ring (22) from housing (2).9. Remove spiral lock ring (16), and remove bearing (11) from the housing.10. Remove six bolts (9), and remove gear (10) from housing (2).11. If necessary, remove the two dowels from housing (2).12. Remove two seal rings (6) and O-ring seal (8) from manifold assembly (7). The following steps are for installation of the transmission flywheel clutch.

New seal rings must be preloaded before they are installed to prevent them from being damaged or broken. There is a correct method to preload new seal rings prior to installation. Place your hands on each end of the seal ring, and pull (wind) the ends several inches past each other or until they almost make contact. See Figure 1. Use care to keep the ring shaped like a circle. This will make an even bend (or ring "set") all around the ring. When the ring is in the groove of the carrier, the ends must butt together lightly. Do not bend the seal ring as shown in Figure 2. This does not make an even bend all the way around the ring.Do not attempt to use this method to preload a used a seal ring. Also, do not use this procedure for cast iron seal rings. his will cause used or cast iron seal rings to break.
13. Install two seal rings (6) and O-ring seal (8) on manifold assembly (7). Put clean SAE 30W oil on the seal rings and O-ring seal.14. Install the two dowels in housing (2) until they are 9.5 0.5 mm (.37 .02 in) above the surface of the housing.15. Install gear (10) on housing (2), and install six bolts (9).16. Install bearing (11) in housing (2), and install spiral lockring (16).17. Install O-ring seal and seal ring (23) and seal ring (22) in housing (2) as shown. Put clean SAE 30W oil on the seal rings.18. Position housing (2) on manifold assembly (7), and install spiral lockring (15).19. Install eight dowels (3) and piston (1) in housing (2).20. Position hub (12) on the shaft, and install snap ring (14).21. Install four springs (4) on the dowels that position piston (1).22. Install the first disc (19) on hub (12), and install four springs (20), plate (5) and four springs (21) on the remaining four dowels. Install the second disc on the hub.23. If plug (13) was
