Procedure
Replace the module.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the machine harness from the module.
Ensure that the module that is replacing the old module has the correct part number.
Install the new module.
Connect the machine harness to the module. On so equipped machines, make sure that the harness code plug is installed.
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switches to the ON position. Make sure that the module successfully completes the self test: see Testing and Adjusting, "Self Test".Expected Results: The module has been successfully replaced and the module has completed the self test.Results:YES - The module has been successfully replaced and the module has completed the self test. STOP.NO - The module has been successfully replaced but the module has not performed the self test properly. Ensure that the module is correct. Ensure that the installation is correct and ensure that no related diagnostic codes are present. STOP.
Setup
Perform a setup of the CIC display. Refer to the Menus (Compact Instrument Cluster), "CIC Service Modes Menu" Section of this manual.
Perform a setup of the Messenger display. Refer to the Menus (Messenger), "Machine Settings Menu" Section of this manual.
