Install suitable cribbing beneath front of track assembly (1). Install Tooling (A) beneath rear of track assembly (1).

Remove bolt (2) and cover (3).

Remove bolts (4) and bracket (5). Loosen fitting (6) to release track tension.

Locate master link. Remove 12 bolts (7). Remove three grouser shoes (8).Note: Remove grouser shoe bolted to master link and remove shoe on either side of the master link.

Use hammer to remove outer master link (9).

Use hammer to remove inner master link (10).

Attach suitable lifting device to track link (11). Once secured, remove suitable cribbing and slowly lower track assembly (1) to the ground.Connection Procedure
Connect track assembly (1) in the reverse order of separation.
Apply Tooling (B) to the bores of master links (9) and (10).
For the D5K, tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 200 25 N m (148 18 lb ft). Then, tighten each bolt by an extra turn of 120 5 degrees.Note: Tighten Clamp Master Track bolts Open Window to a torque of 250 25 N m (184 18 lb ft). Then, tighten the master bolts by an extra turn 4 times 90 5 degrees.Note: Tighten Clamp Master Track bolts Center Strut to a torque of 350 25 N m (258 18 lb ft). Then, tighten the master bolts by an extra 120 5 degrees. Refer to Undercarriage Reconditioning Bulletin , REHS2220 , "Installation and Removal of SystemOne Clamp Master " for more details.
For both the D3K and D4K, tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 145 25 N m (107 18 lb ft). Then, tighten bolts (1) an extra 120 5 degrees.Note: Tighten Clamp Master Track bolts Center Strut to a torque of 225 25 N m (166 18 lb ft).Then, tighten the master bolts by an extra 120 5 degrees. Refer to Undercarriage Reconditioning Bulletin , REHS2220 , "Installation and Removal of SystemOne Clamp Master " for more details.
Adjust track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track - Check/Adjust".
