Illustration 1. Former bracket.The new bracket uses tubular spacers to provide clearance for the hoses. The hoses ride over the upper spacer when the battery carrier is pulled in and out. In this way a smooth surface is provided for the hoses to roll over.
Illustration 2. New bracket.Adaptable To: This change is effective with the machine numbers 8TF63 and 2JJ39. The new bracket can be installed on earlier trucks. Parts needed are listed in the chart. The former 7U5570 Bracket (part of 7U5566 Battery and Wiring Group) will be serviced by the parts listed in the chart. Alternatively, weld a piece of 20 mm (.75") diameter bar or tube (4), 32 mm (1.2") long to the corner of the existing bracket to provide a smooth surface for the hoses to roll over. See illustration 3. Paint the area after welding.
