Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
The engine can start automatically. Ensure that the power supply is isolated before any service or repairs is performed.
If the engine is equipped with an air starting motor. Turn the air supply at the air reservoir to the OFF position. Ensure that the air pressure is drained from the starting air system.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect harness assemblies (1) from control system panel (1).
Open door (3) of control system panel (1).
Use a ball end allen key to loosen allen head bolt (5) and disconnect the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) harness assembly from control system panel (1). Note: Care must be taken in order to avoid damage to the connector pins during removal of the harness.
Use a ball end allen key to loosen allen head bolt (5a) and disconnect harness assembly (6) from control system panel (1). Note: Care must be taken in order to avoid damage to the connector pins during removal of the harness.
Make temporary marks on harness assembly (7) and harness assembly (8) for installation purposes.
Disconnect harness assembly (7) from solenoids (4).
Disconnect harness assembly (8) from solenoid (4) and solenoid (9).
Remove harness assembly (8) and harness assembly (8) from control system panel (1).

Attach a suitable lifting devise to control system panel (1) in order to support the weight. The weight of the control system panel is approximately 60 kg (132 lb).
Remove the nuts and bolts (11). Note: On a generator set with radiator cooling system, the control system panel will have isolator mounts the removal of nuts will be required.
Use the suitable lifting devise to remove control system panel (1) from base plate (10). Installation Procedure

Ensure that the control system panel and the harness assemblies are free from wear or damage. Replace any component that is worn or damaged.

Attach a suitable lifting devise to control system panel (1) in order to support the weight. The weight of the control system panel is approximately 60 kg (132 lb).
Use the suitable lifting devise to install control system panel (1) onto base plate (10).
Align the bolt holes in control system panel (1) and base plate (10). Install the nuts and bolts (11) hand tight. Ensure that the control system panel is correctly aligned to the base plate. Note: On a generator set with radiator cooling system, the control system panel will have isolator mounts the removal of nuts will be required.
Tighten the nuts and bolts (11) to a torque of 44 N m (32 lb ft).
Remove the suitable lifting devise from control system panel (1).

Typical example
Install harness assembly (8) and harness assembly (8) into control system panel (1). Ensure that the harness assemblies are correctly routed through the control system panel and all grommets are in place.
