Vibratory Drum Assembly (1) Drum (2) Isolator Bushings (3) Drive Shaft (4) Eccentric Weight HousingThe eccentric weight is used to provide compaction force in addition to the static weight of the machine. The eccentric weight consists of eccentric weight housing (4). When the vibratory system is turned on, the vibratory motor turns the eccentric weight through drive shaft (3). As the eccentric weight turns, the force of the unbalanced weight causes the drum to vibrate. Isolator bushings (2) aid in keeping the drum vibration isolated from the rest of the machine.The front eccentric weight rotates in a counterclockwise direction when the weight is viewed from the vibratory motor end of the front drum. The rear eccentric weight rotates in a clockwise direction when the weight is viewed from the vibratory motor end of the drum.There is no adjustment for vibratory amplitude because there is only one eccentric weight.
