Make sure the machine is on level ground before removing the parking brakes.
1. Disconnect the hose assembly from the parking brake housing. 2. Remove eight bolts (4) and washers from housing (3) evenly.
Housing (3) has spring force against it. Bolts (4) must be removed evenly.
3. Remove O-ring seal (2) from housing (3). Remove two springs (1). 4. Fasten a hoist to parking brake housing assembly (5). Remove two bolts (6) and remove the parking brake. The weight of the parking brake assembly is 130 kg (286 lb).5. Remove O-ring seal (7) from housing (5).6. Place surface (X) on the parking brake assembly on wooden blocks. Remove coupling (12).7. Remove six plates (9) and five discs (11) from housing (5).8. Remove block (10) and piston (8) from housing (5).9. Remove seals (13), (14) and (15) from the block and piston. The following steps are for the installation of the parking brakes.10. Lubricate O-ring seal (7) with clean oil. Install O-ring seal (7) on housing (5).11. Use a hoist to install housing (5) on the final drive housing. Install two bolts (6).12. Install coupling (12) on the final drive input shaft.13. Put plates (9) and discs (11) in SAE 30 oil before assembly.14. Install plates (9) and discs (11) in housing (5), starting with a plate and ending with a plate.15. Lubricate seals (13), (14), (15), (16) and (17) with clean oil before assembly. 16. Install seals (13), (14) and (16) on block (10). Install seals (15) and (17) on piston (8).17. Install block (10) on piston (8). Install the block and piston in housing (5).18. Lubricate O-ring seal (2) with clean oil. Put the seal in position on adapter (15).19. Put springs (1) in position so that the inside diameter makes contact when installed.20. Install adapter (3) on housing (5) with the oil fill hole up. Install eight washers and bolts (4). After the track motor has been installed, add 1.0 liter (.26 U.S. gal) of SAE 30 oil through the fill hole.End By:a. install track motors
