Specification for 304-9602 Fuel Injection Lines Gp
Note: Perform the following procedure in order to install the high-pressure fuel lines.
Note: Lubricate the ends of the fuel lines with clean engine oil prior to installation.
1. Insert fuel line (2) into fuel rail (6) and block (3). Attach fuel line (2) to fuel rail (6) and block (3) using bolts (4) and washers (8).
2. Evenly hand tighten bolts (4) to fuel rail (6).
3. Evenly hand tighten block (3) to fuel pump adapter (not shown) using bolts (7) .
4. Evenly tighten bolts (4) to fuel rail (6) to 20 N m (15 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 90 degrees at one time.
5.Evenly tighten bolts (4) to block (3) to 20 N m (15 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 90 degrees at one time.
6. Evenly tighten bolts (7) to pump adapter to 20 N m (15 lb ft).
7. Evenly tighten bolts (4) to fuel rail (6) to 40 N m (30 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 45 degrees at one time.
8. Evenly tighten bolts (4) to block (3) to 40 N m (30 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 45 degrees at one time.
9. Evenly tighten bolts (7) to pump adapter to standard torque.
10. Install brackets (5) and all mounting hardware.
11. Insert fuel line (1) into the high-pressure fuel pump and block (3). Attach fuel line (1) to the high-pressure pump and block (3) using bolts (4) and washers (8).
12. Evenly hand tighten bolts (4) to the high-pressure fuel pump.
13. Evenly hand tighten bolts (4) to block (3).
14. Evenly tighten bolts (4) to high-pressure fuel pump to 20 N m (15 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 90 degrees at one time.
15. Evenly tighten bolts (4) to block (3) to 20 N m (15 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 90 degrees at one time.
16. Evenly tighten bolts (4) to the high-pressure fuel pump to 40 N m (30 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 45 degrees at one time.
17. Evenly tighten bolts (4) to block (3) to 40 N m (30 lb ft). Do not rotate bolts (4) more than 45 degrees at one time.
18. Install bracket (5) and all mounting hardware.
