Information:

Release Procedure
Use the following procedure to relieve the pressure from the pump system.
Turn the engine to the off position, disengage the transmission, and shut off fluid being delivered to the suction lines connected to the pump manifold.
Make sure that all the engine systems are locked out or cannot be started while repairing the pump.Note: A restriction can produce excessive pressure in the discharge system which can damage all components in the discharge system.
Make sure that the discharge line does not have a restriction.
Make sure that the relief valve on the discharge system is open. Do not operate the pump without a needle relief valve or a low torque valve installed on the discharge side of the fluid end.
Verify that the pressure has been relieved from both the suction and discharge sides of the fluid end.
The fluid end or pump should no longer have system pressure.
