Remove Crankshaft Rear Seal And Wear Sleeve
start by:a) remove flywheel 1. Bend the locks away from bolts (1) and remove the bolts. Use two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws to remove baffle (2) from the flywheel housing. 2. Remove seal (3) from the baffle. 3. Use tooling (A) to remove wear sleeve (4) from crankshaft.Install Crankshaft Rear Seal And Wear Sleeve
1. Put the gasket and baffle (1) in position on the flywheel housing and install the bolts and locks that hold it in place. 2. Install the 9S8874 Locator (2) on the crankshaft gear with the 9S8893 Bolts (3), all part of tooling (A). Put clean engine oil on the lip of seal (5) and on outside diameter of wear sleeve (4). Install seal (5) on the wear sleeve with the lip of the seal away from the end of the wear sleeve that has the chamfer on the outside diameter as shown. 3. Use 6V1541 Quick Cure Primer on inside diameter (Y) of the wear sleeve (4) and the outside diameter of the gear on the crankshaft. Put 9S3265 Retaining Compound on the inside diameter (Y) of the wear sleeve and the outside diameter of the gear on the crankshaft.4. Be sure the 5P7296 Installer will slide easily over the locator and gear on the crankshaft. 5. Put the wear sleeve and seal (5) in position with the lip of the seal in as shown. 6. Install the 5P7296 Installer (6) and the 9S8858 Nut (7). Put lubricant at location (Z) [between the face of the washer on nut (7) and its contact area on installer (6)]. Tighten nut (7) until installer (6) is against locator (2).7. Remove tooling (A).end by:a) install flywheel
