Remove the refrigerant compressor.
Remove the alternator.
Remove the water temperature regulator.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove tube assembly (1). Disconnect hoses (2) and (3).

Loosen clamp (6) and disconnect hose (7). Remove bolts (4) and oil cooler bonnet (5).

Remove bolts (8) and remove water pump cover (9).

Remove bolts (11), insulation (10), and remove water pump (12). Installation Procedure
Install water pump (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to all O-ring seals and bores prior to installation.
