SHAFT GP-DRIVE 1457054 - Caterpillar

At the inside manifold block on front cab frame cross member, remove the inside elbow (elbow closest to the engine). Install fitting (17) to the open port. Install pipe connector (18) to the side of the tee. Assemble elbow (19) to the top of the tee. Assemble reducing bushing (20) and adapter (21) with O-ring seal (22) to the elbow.
Connect the air pressure sensor to the small adapter. Connect the existing air hose to the connector on the back side of tee.
Remove hose from air dryer to the outboard air manifold. Install plug (23) to the open (middle) port on back side of manifold.

At the outboard air manifold on cab cross member, remove the plug from the top inside port. Install elbow (24) to the open port. Assemble tee (25) to the new elbow. Assemble 45° elbow (13) to the end of the tee. Assemble 90° elbow (26) to side of tee.

Assemble hose (27) to air dryer and check valve/tee assembly on the side of the new tank. Tighten check valve left loose in earlier operation. Route hose through inside open port of deck plate.

Assemble hose (28) to air governor and to fitting by the pressure relief valve on the new tank. Route the hose under the cab and clip to the two new bosses and one existing boss with bolt (9), washer (10) and clip (11) .

Assemble hose (29) to 45° elbow on outboard air manifold and to check valve on middle port of rear tank. Route hose through outside open port of deck plate.

Assemble hose (30) to top elbow and inboard elbow of the new tank.

Assemble hose (31) to middle elbow and check valve on end of the new tank.

Clip three hoses (inboard) to front of frame with one clip (32), one clip (33), one bolt (34), and one washer (10) .

Clip three hoses to air tank support plate with one Clip (32), one clip (33), one spacer (35), one bolt (36), and one washer (10) .

Clip three hoses (outboard) to front of frame with one Clip (32), one clip (37), one bolt (34), and one washer (10) .

Clip two hoses (air dryer and rear tank supply) together with two clips (33), one bolt (34), two washers (10), and one nut (38) .
Flash machine with new software (39) .
Start machine and check air system functions.
Governor shuts air compressor on/off properly.
The parking brake and service brakes function properly.
Raise air tank support plate back into position and secure.

Replace protective plate (A) under the cab.
Return machine to service.
