Remove the gas spring kit (G), fastener kit (F), and pedal kit (E) from the steering column. Remove the cover (H) and save the cover for reuse. Refer to Illustration 2.

Assemble the new 467-6723 Gas Spring Kit (G) at the lower assembly point by using the new 555-8218 Fastener Kit (1). Tighten the M8 bolt to 5 2 N.m (44 18 lb in). Refer to Illustration 3.Note: The screw head must be on the right-hand side as shown in Illustration 4.

Reassemble the cover (H) to the new 555-8219 Pedal Kit (2).

(3) Pedal pivot bolt
Assemble the new 555-8219 Pedal Kit (2) to the steering column (A). Tilt the steering column in order to align the fixing hole. Insert the pedal pivot bolt (3) as shown in Illustration 6. Tighten the M10 locknut to 50 3 N.m (37 2 lb ft).

Gas spring nut location
Note: Ensure that the gas spring pin should not be activated.
Mount the gas spring lever with the bushing. Tighten the gas spring nut until the gas spring head contacts the stop. Tighten the gas spring nut to 5 2 N.m (44 18 lb in). Refer to Illustration 7.

Final assembly
Assemble the new 467-6723 Gas Spring Kit (G) at the upper assembly point by using the new 555-8218 Fastener Kit (1). Tighten the M8 bolt to 5 2 N.m (44 18 lb in). Refer to Illustration 8 for final assembly condition.
Adjust the pedal stop. Refer to Step 8.a to Step 8.g for pedal assembly regulation procedure.

Remove the adjusting screw (K).
Apply the bolt adhesive (Loxeal 55-02, Loctite 243 or equivalent adhesive) on the adjusting screw (K).
Move down the pedal (J) by the hand until the pedal stops.
While keeping the pedal (J) activated, adjust the adjusting screw (K) and tighten until the adjusting screw stops on the steering column base (L).
Release the pedal (J).
Tighten the adjusting screw (K) one and half times in direction of the steering column base (L).
Verify the functionality of the steering column. Move the pedal and tilt the steering column.

Reassemble the cover B, cover C, and two covers D to the steering column (A). Tighten the two bolts (M) to 2.0 to 2.5 N m (17.7 to 22.1 lb in).Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine.
