Use Tooling (F) in order to clean shaft assembly (9) and the counterbore in housing assembly (7) .
Use Tooling (D) in order to install oil seal (8) . Install the oil seal with the part number toward the housing assembly. Ensure that the oil seal is flush with the housing assembly. Do not lubricate the oil seal.
Install inner bearing (10) onto shaft assembly (9) .
Install shaft assembly (9) into housing assembly (7) .
Use Tooling (B) in order to install retaining ring (11) .
Use Tooling (E) and a suitable press in order to install water seal (6) onto shaft assembly (9) . Install the water seal with the part number Upward. Ensure that the water seal is flush against the housing assembly. Do not lubricate the seal.
Use a suitable press in order to install impeller (5) onto shaft assembly (9) . The top of impeller (5) should be installed to Depth (X) below the surface of the housing assembly. Depth (X) is 8.40 0.25 mm (0.331 0.010 inch).
Use a suitable press in order to install gear (12) .
Install bearing (13) . Ensure that the bearing is flush with the gear.
Install hex washer (14) and hex socket head bolt (15) .
Install O-ring seal (2) and O-ring seal (4) in cover (3) . Install cover (3) on housing assembly (7) .
Install elbow assembly (1) .End By: Install the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Install".
