Removal of the Machined Slots for the Retaining Pin
The machined slot in the rear spindle that is used for the 106-9612 Retaining Pin has been removed from production. The machined slot has also been removed from the remanufacturing process. Some laser hardened spindles and some laser clad spindles may have the machined slot. The function of the spindles and of the wheel bearings is not affected by the presence of the machined slot when the retaining pin is removed.Table 3 shows the effective serial numbers of the removal of the machined slot for the retaining pin.
