PROBLEM
The 3649118/">364-9118 Engine Harness Assembly can rub against the 232-4670 Module Cover Connector Group on certain 793D Off-Highway Trucks. If the wire insulation wears through to the copper wires, failures will occur.

Replace the wiring harness if wiring insulation has worn though exposing the copper wires.

If there has been a previous repair, part age/hours will apply. Retain a copy of the previous repair invoice in the dealer's records for audit purposes, and specify repair date and machine hours in the "Additional Comments" section of the warranty claim.
If the engine is out of chassis, being repaired for other reasons, 8 hours are allowed to replace the harness.
If the engine is in chassis, 16 hours are allowed to replace the harness.
