Remove top segment of Grill AS(144-5982) accordingto M312 D&A Engine Supplement SENR8943 and M315 D&A Engine SupplementSENR8923.

Remove fan assembly (193-1028) accordingto M312 D&A Engine Supplement SENR8943 and M315 D&A Engine SupplementSENR8923.
Inspect the 193-1028 fan AS for cracksaround mounting bolts as indicated in Figure 3. If cracks are present,replace the fan with a new 193-1028 fan AS.

Remove pulley 163-4603 according toM312 D&A Engine Supplement SENR8943 and M315 D&A Engine SupplementSENR8923.
Remove fan drive housing 132-8239 accordingto M312 D&A Engine Supplement SENR8943 and M315 D&A Engine SupplementSENR8923.
Install new 132-8239 fan drive housingand new 163-4603 weight-optimized aluminum pulley.
Reinstall fan, using parts indicatedin Figure 4.

Adjust the distance between fan andGrill AS to at least 10 mm and if the machine is equipped with air-condition,the distance between Grill AS and Air-Conditioning-Compressor to at least10 mm. Use WASHER 5P-4116 between Grill AS and Radiator as required toadjust the proper distance between FAN and Grill AS and between Grill ASand Air-Conditioning-Compressor.

Reinstall the top segment of the GrillAS by using the existing bolts and washers and adjust it to at least 10mm distance to the fan.
