Washing System Inspection
Inspect the system for proper operation at the beginning of each shift.
Improper operation of an access platform could result in injury or death. Operators must carry out their duties properly and follow all instructions and guidelines given for the machine and access platform.
Be sure all personnel are clear of the equipment while the equipment is being lowered.Failure to stay clear of the equipment while the equipment is being lowered may result in personal injury.
Do not operate or work on this machine unless you have read and understand the instructions and warnings in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Contact any Caterpillar dealer for replacement manuals. Proper care is your responsibility.
Note: When you access the system for inspection, be sure to observe safe procedures for access. Maintain a three-point contact and/or use a body harness.
Ensure that the tank is full of washer solvent.
Inspect the nozzles and other washer system components for blockage.

Verify that there is no damage to the components of the system.

Loose ClampsNote: Replace any frayed/leaking hoses and tighten loose clamps. Note: When checking the spray pattern and nozzle pressure a second person will be needed.Manually clean any excessive debris build-up from around the washers and sensors. Adjust any washer nozzle that is not cleaning the sensors correctly. Check for washer fluid flow to the nozzles, clean, or replace affected nozzles. If all nozzles are working but flow is low, replace the filter between the tank and the pumps. If pressure to the system appears low, check to make sure that all pumps are providing pressure and fluid flow. Check each pump individually.
