Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the hood panels. For additional information, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood Panels (Front and Rear) - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Open the side access door.

Loosen clamp (2) .
Disconnect tube assembly (5) from muffler assembly (1) .
Loosen clamp (3) .
Disconnect dust ejector hose (4) from muffler assembly (1) .

Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to muffler assembly (1), as shown.

Remove four bolts (5), the nuts and the washers.
Use the hoist in order to remove muffler assembly (1). The weight of muffler assembly (1) is 30 kg (65 lb).
