Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over disconnected fuel system component.
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.
Use a suitable container to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately.

Disconnect the top fuel line from the fuel priming pump.
Install two O-ring seals (1) and tee (2) and between the pump and the fuel line.
Install O-ring seal (3) and fitting (4) onto the tee.
Install cap (5) onto the fitting.
Loosen the cap and connect the 142-2763 Quick Connect Coupler to fitting (3). Connect one end of a hose to the coupler and insert the other end of the hose into a suitable container.Note: The pump generates 103 to 138 kPa (15 to 20 psi) of fuel pressure.
Cycle the power to the fuel priming pump until the air is purged from the fuel system.
Disconnect the quick coupler and the hose from fitting (3). Cap the fitting.
