Installation Procedure
Note: Inspect the O-ring seals. Replace any O-ring seals that are worn or damaged.Note: During the installation of the O-ring seals, lubricate the O-ring seals with the fluid that is being sealed.

Use a suitable hoist to support transmission oil filter (13). The transmission oil filter weighs approximately 30 kg (66.1 lb).
Install torque converter oil filter (13), four washers, and four bolts (6).
Install O-ring seal (10). Connect remaining hose assembly (11). Install four washers, two bolts (12), and two bolts (9).
Install O-ring seal (8). Connect hose assembly (5). Install four washers and four bolts (7).
Install O-ring seal (15). Connect hose assembly (14).

Position wire harness (4). Note: During the installation of wire harness (4), replace strap (3). This will minimize the strain on the harness connections at the bypass switch.
Connect wiring harness (4). Install two washers and two nuts (2). Position two boots (1). Note: During installation, tighten nuts (2) to a torque of 3.7 .3 N m (2.73 0.22 lb ft).
Check the transmission oil level before you start the engine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission and Converter Sump - Check Oil Level". End By:
Remove the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install".
