Pilot oil then shifts spool (19) of boom control valve (13) to the right. Pilot oil also flows to valve (4) in order to shift the valve downward. Oil on the back side of drift reduction valve (6) drains to tank allowing the drift reduction valve to open.Supply oil is routed from pump (16) to main control valve (1). The supply oil flows to pump supply passage (3) and through boom control valve (13). Pump oil then flows through flow compensator valve (2), load check valve (10), and to port (18). This action causes the cylinder rod to retract. The retracting of the cylinder rod causes the boom to lower.Return oil from the head end of cylinder (5) flows through drift reduction valve (6), port (20) and to return passage (12). The oil in return passage (12) then flows to the return hydraulic system and the hydraulic tank.Boom Raise
