Implement Shutoff solenoid
Each of these solenoid valves are designed to control the pressure plates. The pressure plates allow for the proper shifting of the transmission. The Transmission ECM controls any functions that are needed in order to shift the transmission by determining the transmission shift points. The basic electronic functions that determine the shift points are listed below.Actual Gear Control - The "Actual Gear Control" function controls the movement of a hydraulic actuator, which control the transmissions clutches, in order to establish the transmission gear.Dual TOS Crosscheck - The "Dual TOS Crosscheck" function is a redundant check between the two measured "Transmssion Output Speeds" and the transmission input speed in order to ensure that the ECM calculates an accurate transmission speed.Shift Logic - The "Shift Logic" function determines the desired transmission gear from the shift lever that is located at the shift console of the cab and the "Transmission Output Speed (TOS)".Machine Speed Calculation - The "Machine Speed Calculation" function translates the "Transmission Output Speed (TOS)" to the machine speed (also known as the ground speed).Anti-Hunt Logic - "Anti-Hunt Logic" provides protection against “transmission hunting”. Transmission Hunting is defined as an excessive number of commands by the transmission control system in a search for the transmission gear that best matches the current speed and load conditions.Lockup Clutch Control - The "Lockup Clutch Control" controls a mechanical connection from the torque converter input shaft to the torque converter output shaft. This mechanical connection efficiently connects the "powertrain" to the engine. Included in this feature is a "Lockup Clutch Counter", that records the number of shifts into direct drive.Controlled Throttle Shift (CTS) - The "Controlled Throttle Shift (CTS)" function provides smoother shifting for all shifts that do not fall under the control of the abusive shift logic (i.e. only those shift that go from a forward gear to a forward gear, or a reverse gear to a reverse gear).Directional Shift Management - The "Directional Shift Management" feature reduces driveline stress during abusive shifts. Included in this feature are the "Reverse Shift Inhibit" and the "Neutral Coast Inhibit".Reverse Shift Inhibit - The "Reverse Shift Inhibit" feature prevents the transmission from shifting into reverse at high ground speeds. This function helps protect the transmission from damaging directional shifts.Neutral Coast Inhibit - The "Neutral Coast Inhibit" restricts the machine from traveling in the neutral gear at high ground speeds in order to help conserve the life of the transmission.Top Gear Limit - The "Top Gear Limit" feature is a programmable value that is available through "CAT ET". This feature will prevent the transmission gear from exceeding a specific gear limit in any condition.Shift Counter - The "Shift Counter" functions are available for use via "CAT ET" in order to determine the transmission usage characteristics of the operator.
