The bypass valve may fail in certain 1R0734 Oil Filters in parts stock that have date codes earlier than September 1991.
Action Required
Inspect the date code on all 1R0734 Oil Filters in parts stock. If the date code is earlier than September 1991, remove the filter from parts stock. September date codes will appear as 09 XX 91 (Month Day Year). For easy identification of master cartons containing filters with date codes of 09 XX 91 or later, a series of asterisks or an orange dot appear behind the date code.

Submit one claim for all 1R0734 Oil Filters removed from parts stock.
