Introduction
The activation of the hoist controls may be required to enable the hoist system to function.Note: The software for Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat® ET) is required to set these parameters. Use the latest version of the Cat® ET software.Adjustment Preparation
Chock the wheels.
Start Cat® ET and select "Chassis 785G".
From the toolbar, click "Service". Click "Configuration".
Under the heading "Hoist System", click "Hoist System Enable Status".
Click the "Change" button at the bottom of the screen.
Use the drop-down menu to change the status of the hoist system to "Enabled". Click "OK". Select "OK" in the verification box.The command for the hoist lower valve is adjustable. The adjustment compensates for the differences between the valves. The adjustment range is "-5" to +5 with zero as the default. A positive adjustment factor will increase the lower valve command which will cause the body to come down harder. A negative adjustment factor will decrease the lower valve command which will cause the truck body to lower softly.Adjustment Procedure
