Information:
Ensure that the previous tests have been performed before you perform the following test. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydrostatic Stall - Test". Failure to perform the previous tests could result in problems when you perform the following test.
Enter the machine.
Fasten the seat belt.
Start the engine and run the engine at LOW IDLE.
Depress the service brake.
Release the parking brake.
Use the Electronic Technician (ET) to set the machine in STALL TEST MODE. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Transmission Stall Test - Setup".
Ensure that the parking brake indicator is ON.
Release the service brake.
Select the lowest maximum ground speed.
Increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Note the engine speed and record the engine speed onto the worksheets. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheet - Troubleshoot".
Raise the blade off the ground.
Tilt the blade to the right. Hold the bulldozer control in the TILT RIGHT position.
Move the speed and direction control to the FORWARD position. The tracks should not move.Note: Do not stall both systems for more than 15 seconds.
Check the engine speed, the drive pressure of the front pump, the drive pressure of the rear pump and the implement pressure. Record the data onto the worksheets.
Subtract the second engine speed from the first engine speed in order to obtain the engine lug. The engine lug should be 100 40 rpm.
The drive pressure for the front pump at pressure tap "2" should be 44000 1000 kPa (6400 150 psi).
The drive pressure for the rear pump at pressure tap "1" should be 44000 1000 kPa (6400 150 psi).
The implement pressure at pressure tap "6" should be 20600 350 kPa (2990 50 psi).
Return the speed and direction control to the NEUTRAL position.
Level the blade. Lower the blade to the ground and return the bulldozer control to the HOLD position.
Decrease the engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Stop the engine.
Move all of the controls in order to relieve any pressure within the hydraulic systems.
Exit the machine. If the engine lug is greater than the specification and the system pressure is within specifications, check the engine. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, SENR6457. Then, perform the hydrostatic and implement stall test again. If the engine lug is less than the specification and the implement pressure is lower than the specification, adjust the relief valve. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, RENR5506, "Relief Valve (Main) - Test and Adjust". Then, perform the hydrostatic and implement stall test again.
Remove the hose from test port "6". Leave the remaining hoses connected.
Proceed to the hydrostatic speed test. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Final Hydrostatic Speed - Test".
