Position the machine according to instruction shown on the screen. Note: If the machine is equipped with a Power Offset Boom, set the Offset: Right End at maximum extension.

Move to following position. Then press Next button.
-> Boom: (Don't care)
-> Stick: Out End
-> Bucket: Dump End
-> Offset (if equipped): Left End

Press return button to return to upper layer screen.
If calibration was successful and no errors occurred, the display will indicate that the calibration is complete.
The "Error" screen will be displayed on the monitor if an error occurs. The process of calibration will not be saved and the process must be restarted. Cat Electronic Technician Procedure

Diagnostic connector for Cat Electronic Technician
Connect the Cat Electronic Technician to the diagnostic connector located behind the seat on the left side of the cab.
Start Cat Electronic Technician.
Select the ECM for "Machine Control".
Select "Calibrations" from the "Service"menu.
Highlight "Front Linkage Position Sensor Calibration" and click on the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the screen.
Select the control input to calibrate and press the "Begin" button.
Follow the instructions on the screen. Press "Next" button to continue through to the next step.
If the calibration was successful and no errors occurred, the display will indicate that the calibration is complete. Press the "Finish" button to exit or move on to the next calibration.
If the calibration failed, the calibration is not saved. Press the "Restart" button to try the calibration again or press the "Finish" button to exit or move on to the next calibration.
