SHAFT AS 4247153 - Caterpillar

1. Remove vent line (2) for the torque divider.2. Remove oil supply line (4) for the torque divider.3. Disconnect oil line (6).4. Remove clip (5) and move the oil line away from the engine.5. Disconnect oil line (1) at the sequence relief valve.6. Remove oil line (3) from the sequence relief valve. 7. Remove oil lines (7) and (8) for counterweight cylinders. 8. Disconnect wire (9) from the starting motor. Move the wire away from the engine.9. Disconnect wire (10) from the frame of the machine. 10. Turn the valve for the fuel supply to the "OFF" position. Disconnect fuel line (11) from the fuel filter base. 11. Remove two bolts (12) from the engine front support. 12. Remove two bolts (13) from each side of the flywheel housing. 13. Fasten a hoist to the engine as shown. Remove engine (14) and the torque divider from the machine as a unit. Weight of the unit is 3000 lb. (1361 kg).14. Remove shims (15) from under the rear mounts for the engine. Put identification on the shims to prevent a mix during the installation of the engine.Install Engine
1. Put the shims over the dowels for the rear engine mounts.2. Fasten a hoist to the engine. Put the engine in position in the machine.3. Install the bolts that hold the rear of the engine in position. Make sure shims (1) are in alignment with the holes in the frame of the machine.4. Install the two bolts and nuts that hold the front of the engine in position. Tighten all of the bolts to a torque of 350 35 lb.ft. (474.5 47.5 N m). 5. Install two oil lines (2) for the counterweight cylinders. 6. Connect wire (3) from the master switch to the starting motor.7. Connect wire (4) to the frame of the machine. 8. Connect fuel line (5) to the fuel filter base.9. Turn the valve for the fuel supply to the "ON" position. 10. Connect oil line (11) for the transmission oil supply.11. Connect oil line (10) to the sequence relief valve.12. Connect oil line (9) for the torque divider oil supply.13. Install the hose and clip (8).14. Install vent line (7) for the torque divider.15. Connect oil line (6) to the sequence relief valve.end by: a) install power take-off **b) install center frame **c) install hydraulic oil pump **d) install transmission oil pump *e) install universal joint *f) install radiator and radiator guardg) install crankcase guards (front)
