Certain engine parameters may be programmed by the customer by using Cat electronic service tools in order to influence the operation of the engine:The customer specified parameters can be changed as often as needed. Password protection is provided so that the customer can change the parameters. The customer can authorize someone else to change the parameters. Refer to the Troubleshooting Guide, "Programmable Parameters" for further information about configuration parameters.
