Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install engine oil cooler (9). Install bolts (8). Install nuts (7) .

Install bracket (5). Install bolts (6). Install bolts (4). Install bolts (3) .

Tighten bolts (2) .

Note: The hood support assembly is removed in Illustration 4 for photographic purposes.
Connect harness assemblies (1) .
Fill the engine with engine oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change" for the proper draining procedure.End By: Install the left engine side guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guard - Remove and Install".
