Autolube Piston Detector Switch (1) Schematic Symbol (2) SwitchThe VIDS uses three autolube piston detector switches. The three autolube distribution manifolds have a dedicated Autolube Piston Detector Switch. The switches OPEN and the switches CLOSE as the lubricant is pumped through the system. If any of the lubricant lines are plugged the switches will not cycle. A message is shown on the message center at the end of a lubrication cycle when a switch or switches have failed to complete at least one "ON\OFF\ON" or "OFF\ON\OFF" cycle. The status display for the switch is unimportant since the switch can be either OPEN or CLOSED.Hydraulic Oil Level Switch

Hydraulic Oil Level Switch (1) Schematic Symbol (2) Level SwitchThe hydraulic oil level switch monitors the level of the hydraulic oil after the key start switch has been in the ON position for 2 seconds and before the engine is started. The VIDS checks the hydraulic oil level with the switch. The switch opens when the hydraulic oil level is below the normal operating level. The engine coolant level switch monitors the level of the engine coolant after the key start switch has been in the ON position for 2 seconds and before the engine is started. The VIDS checks the engine coolant level with the switch. The switch opens when the engine coolant level is below the normal operating level. Air Filter Plugging Switch (1) Schematic Symbol (2) SwitchThe air filter plugging switch is closed when the air filter is plugged. The VIDS detects the state of the switch. The status can be shown on the message center.Hydraulic Oil Filter Switch
The hydraulic oil filter switch closes the switch contacts when an acceptable pressure drop is detected across the filter. The switch closes the signal circuit to ground during normal operation. When the pressure across the filter is greater than the specified limit the switch contacts open. The VIDS warns the operator via the message center that the hydraulic oil filter switch is "PLUGGED".
