Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the manual barring group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Manual Barring Group - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Remove knob (13) and nut (12) from stem (14).
Remove the following components from the bracket assembly: guide (11), stem (14) and spring (9).
Remove the following components from shaft (6): ring (8), washer (10) and spring (4).
Remove guide (3) and the spacer behind the guide.
Remove shaft (6) from the bracket assembly.
Remove O-ring seals (15) from shaft (6).
Remove the following components from shaft (6): bolt (7), washer (5), pinion (2) and retainer (1).
