Conditions Which Generate This Code:The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects all of the following conditions:
Coolant level is low for 10 seconds.System Response:The engine will shut down if the "Engine Monitoring Mode" is programmed to "Shut Down".

The coolant level is low.Test Step 1. Check the Coolant Level
Pressurized System: Hot coolant can cause serious burns. To open the cooling system filler cap, stop the engine and wait until the cooling system components are cool. Loosen the cooling system pressure cap slowly in order to relieve the pressure.
Stop the engine.
After allowing the engine to cool, check the coolant level. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the proper procedure.Note: The coolant level sensor should be completely immersed in coolant.Expected Result:The coolant is at the proper level.Results:
OK - There may be an intermittent problem.Repair: Monitor the operation of the engine.Repair the problem.Ensure that the repair eliminates the problem. Stop.
Not OK - Repair: Repair the problem.Ensure that the repair eliminates the problem. Stop.Test Step 2. Check the Coolant Level Sensor
Check the coolant level sensor. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Engine Sensor Open or Short Circuit - Test".Expected Result:The coolant level sensor is OK.Results:
