Select the "Identification" tab, and then select the "Change" button.
Change the name in the "Computer Name" field from "MINWITHNET" to the new display name and then select the OK button. There are two conditions related to the Network Name that can cause CAES to shut down improperly. The conditions that can cause an improper shutdown are:
the correct display name has not been entered
a new name has been entered, but the Machine Configuration file was not updated. The following key in the Machine Configuration file is used to inform the display that the network name has changed:$ Navigator With Unique Network Name - Used to inform CAES that the name of the D3:C4 Nav 10.4 Display has been changed. At startup, CAES checks for this key in the Master Configuration file. If the key is found, then the CAES knows that the display name has been renamed from the default name, MINWITHNET, to a unique network name. Shut downs will then be performed correctly. The Diagnostic Message Log file contains information regarding whether the Display Name has been set appropriately and whether CAES has been informed of the name change. Each of the conditions that can occur, and their associated messages, are listed in the following sections:Condition 1 - Default Configuration
If the Network Name key is not used, and the display name has not changed from the default name of MINWITHNET, then the following message will be logged:
Inform, 15:43:44, 41089, Navigator - Standard network name. Name = MINWITHNETCondition 2 - New Display Name Correctly Configured
If the name of the display has been changed, and the Network Name key correctly identifies the new name of the display, then the following message will be logged:
Inform, 15:43:44, 41088, Navigator - Unique network name key found. Name = <new display name>Condition 3 - Display Name Set up Incorrectly
If the Network Name key identifies a new name, but the name has not been correctly set up in the D3:C4 Nav 10. 4 Display, then the same message that is shown in condition 2 will be logged. However, the name of the display will appear as the default name, MINWITHNET.
Inform, 15:43:44, 41088, Navigator - Unique network name key found. Name = MINWITHNETAdditionally, the following message will be written to the DML:
Error, 15:43:44, 41090, Incompatible use of key '$ Navigator With Unique Network Name' or incorrect Navigator network identityCondition 4 - Network Name Key Used Improperly
If the Network Name key is not used, and a name other than the default, MINWITHNET, is set up in the Network settings, then the following message will be logged:
Inform, 15:43:44, 41089, Navigator - Standard network name. Name = <new display name>Additionally, the following message will be written to the DML:
Error, 15:43:44, 41090, Incompatible use of key '$ Navigator With Unique Network Name' or incorrect Navigator network identity
