Position link assemblies (5) and cover assembly (14) in the grapple housing (6) . Raise the grapple housing (6) into position. Align the bores in grapple housing (6) and shell assembly (12) .
Apply Tooling (H) to pin assembly (13) . Install pin assembly (13) . Repeat for the other pin assembly.
Remove the suitable bar and the suitable lifting device from shell assembly (12) .

Install grease fitting (11) . Repeat for the other pin assembly.

Apply Tooling (G) to the threads of bolt (9) . Install plate (10) , the washer, and bolt (9) . Repeat for the other pin assembly.

Use a suitable bar to support link assemblies (5) , as shown.

Use a suitable bar and a suitable lifting device to position shell assembly (7) . Refer to Table 3 for the approximate weight of shell assembly (7) .

Align the pin bores of shell assembly (7) and grapple housing (6) .
Apply Tooling (H) to pin assembly (6) . Install pin assembly (8) . Repeat for the other pin assembly.
Remove the suitable bar and the suitable lifting device from shell assembly (7) .
Remove the suitable bar and lower link assemblies (5) to shell assembly (7) .

Install grease fitting (4) . Repeat for the other pin assembly.

Apply Tooling (G) to the threads of bolt (2) . Install plate (3) , the washer, and bolt (2) . Repeat for the other pin assembly.

Use Tooling (A) , Tooling (B) , and a suitable lifting device to position grapple assembly (1) . The weight of grapple assembly is approximately 1415 kg (3120 lb). Position grapple assembly (1) onto suitable cribbing and secure the suitable cribbing to grapple assembly (1) , as shown.
Remove Tooling (A) , Tooling (B) , and the suitable lifting device from grapple assembly (1) .End By: Install the hydraulic cylinder.
