SHAFT AS-PLANETARY 5629597 - Caterpillar

Tighten the plug to 5 2 N m (50 20 in lb). Never use a gasket with the new housing, regardless of whether it is being reinstalled or as a replacement for the former housing. Do the following whenever the new housing is installed:
... Clean the flange surface on both the block and housing.... Put on a thin continuous bead of 6V6640 Sealant on only one flange and around each bolt hole.... Install the housing as usual and wipe off any excess sealant. If the temperature is below 10°C (50°F), spray 6V1541 Quick Primer on the surface where the sealant is to be applied.
