This procedure will ensure that there is a gradual taper at the 4 bar casting transition to the fabricated main rail, improving the weld joint life.For a complete list of material and the correct procedure that is needed in order to update the lines groups to the current configuration, refer to Special Instruction, REHS9555, "Procedure to Inspect and Rework the Frame 4 Bar Casting to Main Rail Connection Offset on the 793F Off-Highway Truck". The special instruction can be found on the Caterpillar service information system (SIS) and through the normal literature distribution system at your local Cat dealer.The gradual taper at the 4 bar casting to the fabricated main rail is effective in production with the following machines:
