Engine News SEBD9649, 13 May 2010, "New Couplings Are Used for the Compressor Bypass on Some G3500 Engines". The original article has been revised to add effectivity.Description of Change: A new coupling is used for the compressor bypass on the engines that are listed above. The new coupling will compensate for thermal growth, movement from vibration, and any slight misalignments that may occur. The new coupling will also provide improved bypass valve operation, engine operation, and improved reliability.Adaptable To: The new 353-6981 Drive Coupling Assembly is contained in the complete actuator assemblies that are listed in Table 1.
